Saltwater Tank Is Cloudy?
Hi there! I have 5 freshwater tanks and one 55 gallon saltwater tank. I have had this SW tank up and running for about 5 months with very few (not none, but very few) problems. Yesterday, as I do every 6 weeks, I replaced the ceramic rings and carbon bags in my Marineland 220 (I think it is either 220 or 250) canister filter. However, this time the water has turned cloudy and my sweet little clown fish died. I also did my normal once weekly 15% water change. The next day, when it had been 24 hours and the water was still cloudy I changed another 15%. It is still cloudy.
I have a Marineland Canister Filter
Protein Skimmer
Heater
1 Red flame Angel-3 inches
1 Yellow Tang-3 inches
3 Yellow tailed Blue Damsels-1 inch each
Firefish-4 inches
Various small hermit crabs
i also have a sw tank aquarium before and 3 clown fish,angels and others and they also died.one thing that i discover is that the
salt of the water lies under because i don't have a machine or something that the water should rotate or vibrate.hope that could help.
