How can i calm my kitten down?
Omg for the past few days she has been going crazy! shes always been very active but i feel like shes on speed or something. she just runs and runs back and forth climbing one shelf to the next, i owe my mom a couple hundred dollars now because althought the figurines are taped down or w/e to the shelf she knocks them over. i love my baby so much but she is driving me crazy!!! shes 6 months old if that has to do with anything
what has me goin crazy is that she keeps getting worse everday...i dont mind her running around but now shes climbing on everything knocking things down going on top of curtains everything! right now as im sitting here typing shes climbing up n down the back of my chair...and spraying water didnt help lol
Firstly you have to play with your kitten, heaps. My cat is the same age and she is an indoor cat. If i don't play with her till she is panting she will tear my house apart.
Also if she is attacking something she shouldn't, you should either bang something or chuck something near her or say "OI" really loudly, never use her name if she is doing something bad. This will startle her and once you have done it a few times she will get the idea.
Try not to make it obvious that it is you doing the startling or she will associate it with you rather then the curtains she is ripping.
I have made a good toy to exhaust my cat. It is some fishing line with a paddle pop stick attached. She goes crazy and i hardly move.
make the line long enough so you can flick it a metre each side of you, that way your cat runs full ball while you stand around.
