I was going to use acrylic on both.
Yes, pewter figurines and plastic can be painted with the paint itself. Prime them first, I prefer to use black and set a base coat of color. If I miss something, it looks like a shadow. More preferences for priming are white (the color really "pop") gray (discrete and easy to throw any color), and rust (ideal for models that have a lot of red on them). After that, it is all your color choices and how you want your thumbnail to watch. Good luck! scott
