My 5 year old chocolate lab ate a piece of beef soup bone, what can I do to help her, she looks uncomfortable?
I am not sure how big the piece she swallowed but not feeling herself. She is eating as usual, not vomiting but has a bit of diarrhea. I gave her last night two tablespoons of mineral oil. Looks like the bone might be lodge and uncomfortable or too big to pass in her stool. Any suggestions as to what I can do to help her or what can the vet do?
You should not let your dog eat or drink anything after they swallow something you should take them strait to the vet. The bone could cut her internally. If the bone is in her rear end you can reach in and try to pull it out.
