How do I determine the value of a collectible?
In the mid to late 1960s, my parents bought 13 figures (One for each colony of origin) of The Franklin Mint. They are pewter sculptures of characters throughout American history. The first was a character "Daniel Boone type" with a long gun and the last was an Armstrong "Neil on the moon character". Details is extraordinary. Before my father died, he sent them to me. They were slightly damaged by heat during transport. (Tin is a metal very soft, especially when hot). I want to determine whether they are worth the cost of repair. I do not have the original shipping boxes, This is how they are damaged. But I have the description cards that accompany them.
There is an annual and monthly Price Guide for most collectibles, including the "Franklin Mint", go to your nearest store Hobbie you know deals with collection and ask them if you can get a script, if thry are not transportation for sale. You can also browse through their copy shop! Will S
