You dream that you are walking around your town, but it doesn't look the same. Trying to find way home.?
Just had a weird dream. I'm walking around my town, but the library is not the same. Now looks like a university building and staff at a counter outside, not inside. Then I went across the way it is nighttime. There are a series of small square shacks. the outside walls light up in blue and green like a dance floor. The music inside is European or Russian. Orchestral music. There is a shadow of a man conducting as the music plays in his "home". Then I know what street I am on has I pass a location I know, but a home is there now and it is a museum with a frustrated lady outside like a barker with a microphone deparatly trying to get people in for a tour. I walk on in an area close to my home, but eveything is so different. federal or state buildings, but of a smaller scale. I try to fix a statue bust that needed to be put together. I come across some concrete and brick overpass stairs. I avoid them, but sent back to stairs. I feel lost, despair, wanting a change, want to go home.
This might not be anything, but I find it interesting that while experiencing your supposed home town changing so much, you are trying to fix a statue bust. It makes me think of someone trying to remain "stone" or unchanging in the face of changes to either aspects of one's life or one's personality. Boss's interpreted a lot of dreams about his clients' hometowns or childhood homes as representing aspects of one's self that were still based on childhood ideas, attitudes, beliefs, or behaviors.
