why is it wrong to keep statues of cartoons or figurines in my house as display items according to islam ?
asalaamalikum brothers and sisters. I want to know why keep figurines or statues of cartoon characters in my house wrong in islam??? could you please tell me all the reason behind and islamic teachings on them. I know they are wrong but want to know why ??

I believe figurines, or statues, are not evil of themselves.
If you start praying to these statues, or invoking their names, as some people do, then it becomes evil. The statues themselves are not evil, it is the person who idolizes them who is evil.
