How do I identify a stone I found on a beach?
I found a clear round stone on a beach at Cape Cod? How do I get what kind of stone it is. it about a little smaller than half an inch, and looks like lightly frosted glass. Definitely not glass! Also i put it in a rock tumbler with other stones and it never lost it shape or any of its mass. So I think it very hard also. Again any ideas??
Looks too clear to be moonstone, I guess.
It was probably quartz
I frequently find quartz like that on the beach
