Do you tell your kids the Easter bunny brings baskets and hides eggs or that you do?
If you tell them you do it, what is the purpose (for them) of getting pics with the Easter bunny. If you tell them the Easter bunny does it, how do you explain all the pre-done baskets in the store? Does the Easter bunny buy those? I make my own baskets and the kids recycle the baskets so I'm thinking of stories for that.
I tell my son that the easter bunny visits him and brings him goodies the same with santa claus but he is 6 and getting curious and one day while at wal-mart asked so if the easter bunny brings me easter baskets..How come they sell everything here that is always in my easter basket?..."major DUH moment" So after a min. of thinking and i'm sure looking dumbfounded i just answered ....Where do you think he gets the stuff from to put in your basket?...Oddly he seemed satisified with the answer and asked me if i could talk to the easter bunny so i told him yes i can how do you think he knows what you like and want?So he started going throught the store and telling me well when you see him again tell him i want this in my basket and i would really want this and i absolutly have to have this. lol i didn't think that little white lie would cause such a up roar but to see his face that morning is priceless.
It is a win win situation he is in aw over the easter bunny wanting to bring him cool toys and yummy candy i also get credit for letting the easter bunny what they want and like eventually the magic will dissapear and they will figure it out but why ruin it now?Let them figure it out but for now keep the happiness going being a kid is all about the fantasy and make believe!
