Is there a glaze or sealer that I could apply to a plastic figurine to make it safe for an aquarium?
I realize that it is a bad idea to add objects to a fish tank that were not designed for aquarium use. I have some action figures I would like to add to my tank for fun and I am worried they will leach chemicals into the water. Is there a glaze or sealer I could coast these objects with that would make them safe for aquarium use?
You could mix up some two-part clear acrylic and dip them in that. It used to be commonly available at art and craft stores - people would mold-cast table tops, coasters, ash trays, and such from it.
