How can you tell the difference between a Porcelain and ceramic figure?
Part of the answer is subjective
All porcelain is ceramic but not all ceramic is porcelain
Porcelain tends to have a finer texture
But there are low fire clays that also have the fine texture
A lot of porcelain is white but porcelain can be colored
I say this because I have mixed clays Some of them meet the definition of porcelain.
I hope some body else can give a better answer
