What kinds of paint do I use on metal figurines?
I want to paint Warhammer 40K models (metal figurines) and I don't want to pay the extreme money for Citadel paint. What kind of paint should I use? I don't want to order online if I can buy it from walmart.
lol Hatred for walmart is understandable. But I only have one hobby shop in my town and they are doing refurnishing in the store. So I couldn't ask them.
Well, I can't guarantee you'll find it at WalMart (damn them), but you can use almost ANY good model enamel or acrylic paint. I've been doing figures for almost 30 years now and have worked with:
Testors Model Masters (enamels)
Tamiya Acrylics
Humbrol (enamels)
Polly-Scale (enamels)
Pactra (ancient enamels)
Artist's Oils
The KEY is to put on a good metal primer.
