My Miniature Pinscher (terrier family) has small skin cysts. What's causing it?
It's actually my daughter's dog and he's about 5 years old. He's in very good health and is pampered. We just can't figure out these little cysts about the size of a raisin keep popping up on his body. Anyone have any idea what could be causing them or what we can do about them.
Hi. Just to be on the safe side, I'd take him to the vet and ask. My dog (also spoiled and only 4 years old) started getting what we originally thought were cysts, but they turned out to be malignant tumors that needed to be removed. She has done well since and isn't acting sick, though the tumors have returned and we will now have to take a more aggressive treatment approach.
Or they could just be cysts that need to be drained by the vet. I'll hope for the latter for your family and your pup!
